Preparing Your Child

Talk About the Dentist: Talk to your child about the dentist in a positive way. Explain that the dentist is a doctor who helps keep smiles healthy and strong.

Read Books: Read children’s books about going to the dentist to help familiarize your child with the experience.

Practice at Home: You can gently brush your child’s teeth at home to get them used to the feeling of having their teeth cleaned.
